House of Representatives Committees have been meeting with various ministries departments’ agencies in continuation of the defence of the 2016 budget. It is the turn of the Ministry of Interior where members of the Committee on Interior asked the Permanent Secretary Ekpendo Ezenwa questions including the need for the purchase of computer with about three hundred million naira.
Chairman of the committee Jagaba Jagaba wasted no time asking the Permanent Secretary to give a brief on the Ministry’s submission. Drawing attention to the total overheads of the services under the ministry, the permanent secretary says the amount may not be enough as available funds are to assist in processing, awarding and monitoring capital projects.
