With the controversy surrounding the December clash between soldiers on the convoy of the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, still on, a human rights group, Global Centre for conscious living against corruption says what happened in Zaria was an assassination attempt on the life of the Chief of Army Staff. The group in a press briefing in Abuja says it came to this conclusion after a painstaking investigation that lasted for over a month.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Ali Abacha says after a painstaking investigation, the group is sure that what happened in Zaria was an assassination attempt on the life of the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Yussuf Buratai.
He says Nigerians must know the truth wondering why the group did not stop the advance team of the army chief that passed through the same route, 20 minutes earlier and later barricaded the roads armed with dangerous weapon to stop him. He says the incident is an infringement of his fundamental human rights to free movement.
