KIDNAPPING WILL COME TO AN END SOON – ARASE

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase says the Police is making progress in dismantling kidnapping gangs in most parts of the Country. In his speech at the opening of the commissioners of police conference at the police headquarters in abuja, he says examples abound in Imo and other states of the progress made so far in putting a halt to the activities of kidnappers in the country.

On the security situation in Lagos especially the issue of bank robbers, he says the Police has succeeded in mopping up the gangs responsible for most of the bank robberies witnessed in Lagos state in recent times but added that some of them have also taken to kidnapping.

He however assures that the force is doing everything within its powers to ensure that it becomes a thing of the past.
He also assures that the force is working to continually build the capacity of its officers and men.
