Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi says ongoing work on Nigeria’s railway system will be completing in 2 years. Speaking at a meeting with the Senate Committee on Lands and Transport, he says there is about twenty billion dollars earmarked for the project across the country.
The Minister begins with a list of the routes mapped out for the rail lines, which will connect all parts of the country. He says the project is expected to ease movement especially of goods and reduce expenses on road rehabilitation. This according to him, is despite the challenges of funding.
