The Federal Government says about 102,000 people have cancer in Nigeria. This was disclosed by the Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole, at the World Cancer day held in Abuja on Thursday.
The Minister of health says the government will soon pass a bill to create National Cancer Control Agency. The agency is to help provide pallative care for people living with the disease.
He says the Government is working the NURTW (National Union of Road transport Workers) to disseminate information at the grassroot level on cancer prevention.
