Inspector General of Police Solomon Arase says the deployment of Civil Authority in the North East will be done strategically. The Police boss made this disclosure at a round table meeting on security stabilisation in the North Eastern part of Nigeria.
For years now, the Nigerian Government has been battling the Boko Haram terrorists in the North East. Thousands of lives and property worth millions of naira have been destroyed in the war against the terrorists.
But with recent successes of the military against the insurgents, rehabilitating displaced people has been top on the agenda of Government. This roundtable meeting is a platform for security chiefs and experts on how to facilitate the return of civil authority to the North East. According to the Inspector General of Police who says such steps will be taking strategically.
