The Senate on Monday asked Nigerians to ignore those calling for the immediate resignation of Senate President, Bukola Saraki, over his ongoing trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal. Saraki is standing trial for allegedly falsifying his asset declaration while he was Governor of Kwara State.
His bid to quash the trial was dismissed by the Supreme Court on Friday. The upper chamber described as premature, mischievous and unwarranted the campaign for Saraki’s resignation especially when he had not been convicted by the CCT.
