No doubt Monday protest over high electricity tariffs by the labor union is making impact as some members of the House of Representatives are saying that the house will definitely arm twist the power companies into submitting to the will of the people. Many Nigerians complain about paying for services they don’t get and the members are saying they are right in demanding justice.
Although their threats to picket distribution companies throughout the country for the next two weeks until they bring down the tariffs, the cities seem to be quiet and Nigerians going about their usual daily routines.
That however is not to say that some ears have not heard. Reacting to the problem some legislators believe it’s time to act especially having many people pay for meters they never get and are bill by estimation.
