With the coming into office of the new administration, many had thought it was Uhuru especially where power supply is concerned, it has not only worsened, but Government and the Electricity Distribution Companies are tightening the noose around the necks of Nigerians with skyrocketing tariffs.
Nigerians got a voice to cry out through the Nigerian Labour Congress which has been Picketing Electricity Distribution Companies across the country to force the tariffs down. They couldn’t have chosen a better time to protest against what many see as insensitivity on government’s part. Especially when the cost of living is becoming a task for most Nigerian families.
The NLC, TUC and Civil Society Groups are standing in the gap for the millions of Nigerians who are the receiving end of the government’s unpopular decision
