BANKERS COMMITTEE MOVES TO STIMULATE REAL SECTOR

The Bankers Committee says it is working to ensure that more Nigerians have access to banking services to aid the nation’s economic development. The Committee at the end of its regular meeting says it will also do whatever it’s possible to ensure that more Nigerians especially in the north east have access to banking services even if its mobile in nature.

Flanked by the MD of some of the Nation’s banks, Director of Banking Supervision in the Central Bank of Nigeria, Tokunbo Martins says the CBN is working to ensure access to banking services to more Nigerians to aid economic development. Her position is also shared by one of the bankers, who says the committee is looking into ways for those wanting access to credit to have a unique identification number.
