Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory is set to revoke all legal tender on plots of land and areas illegally allocated to some privileged Nigerians in the Maitama District. The process will be covering all such allocations from 1999 to date that have distorted the Abuja Master plan.
The Committee’s statement is in reply to a Newspaper advertorial by the immediate past Minister of FCT on the issue. They maintain that their stance has no political undertone, but is only an attempt to ensure that the Abuja Master plan is adhered to.
