Federal government is making moves to curtail spending for service wide votes by Ministries, Departments and Agencies. The restriction is due to abuse of the votes by the MDAs over the years.
Coordinating Minister of the Nation’s economy is again appearing before the Senate Committee on Finance, whose members are asking questions on management of the huge sums domicile within MDAs.
And in her response, she says the votes are mere budget contingency to cover unforeseen circumstances, which has suffered abuse.
