NDUME DENIES INTERVENING FOR SARAKI

The case against the President of the Senate at the code of conduct tribunal is N to reveal new twists. Talks about some senate big wigs intervening on his behalf has continued to make the rounds. This time from the senate leader who has been denying reaching out to President Muhammadu Buhari and party leadership to step into the matter.

The heat is still on as to whether President of the Senate Bukola Saraki should resign over allegations of false asset declaration and as his March 10 trial date approaches, political actors are divided over what the fate of the Nation’s number three citizens should be. Senator Saraki is believed to be reaching out to President Buhari and the national leader of All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu to help get him off the hook.

In less than one week after leading some Senators to a closed door meeting with Vice President Osinbajo, Senate Leader Ali Ndume is again at the Villa to see President Buhari. A move political watchers are claiming is to create a soft landing for the President of the Senate, this is however been denied by the Senate Leader.
