President Muhammadu Buhari says Nigeria will continue to sustain its peace building efforts particularly in the West African Sub Region. The President gave the assurance while playing host to the President of Liberia Ellen Johnson Sir-Leaf at the state house Abuja says stopping the infiltration of terrorists in the West African Sub Region is critical issue which Nigeria is very much concerned about.
President Buhari says Nigeria will continue to support moves by the Lake Chad Basin Commission to end threats posed by insurgency in the region. He also thanked Ellen Johnson Sir Leaf for the visit and assured that Nigeria remains committed to its bilateral relations with Liberia.
The Liberian President thanked Nigeria for standing by Liberia at all times. She was particularly grateful to Nigeria for supporting Liberia deal with the deadly Ebola virus saying her meeting with President Buhari also focused on matters of Regional Development in West Africa.
