The Police say 1522 Cases of professional misconduct have been resolved by the complaints Response Unit 100 days after its launch. 291 other Cases are still under investigation according to the force Public Relations Officer, Bisi Kolawole.
The force Public Relations Officer says the complaints Response Unit has in its 100 days of operations been a game changer. The unit according to her will continue to expand its horizon to ensure that officers and the rank and file maintain the highest level of professionalism.
Going further she says out of the 1946 cases treated by the unit, 133 of them were false. For her, the unit is not about demonizing any Police officer but to ensure that things are done the right way. She says officers including an assistant Commissioner of Police are still under investigation by the unit.
