Seven district heads in Taraba State are losing their seats for allegedly allocating lands belonging to Internally Displaced Persons to unidentified persons in their domains. Taraba state correspondent reports that Governor Ishaku Darius took the action to avoid the risk of sabotaging his administrations peace efforts.
In the wake of insurgencies in the North East, many people sacked from their home relocated to other parts of the country. Many of the host states allocated lands for the settlement of these Internally Displaced Person to give them some form of comfort away from home.
