Civil Societies is seeking engagement for a constitution reform in the 8th National Assembly. The Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC) says the last constitutional amendment process was inconclusive. The group said at an advocacy session that the civil Society will work to ensure legislators carry out their duties effectively.
Stakeholders form different sectors of the Nigerian society such as Civil Societies, politicians and journalist are here in Abuja at a town hall meeting by PLAC. The Director Legal drafting service, National assembly, Mohammed Hassan used the platform to urge legislators to address the controversy delaying the amendment which relates to whether it is necessary for the President to assent to Bill before amendment by two third of the legislators.
