An Abuja High Court has ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to grant bail on liberal term the former President Goodluck Jonathan’s ADC, Ojogbane Adegbe who has been in its custody. Justice Yusuf Halilu gave the order while ruling on an application filed by Adegbe challenging his detention by EFCC.
The Judge however refused to grant the applicant’s request for 100 million naira damages from the ant-graft commission for unlawfully detaining him. Justice Halilu who blamed EFCC for detaining suspects beyond the constitutionally allowed period also ordered for arraignment of the former ADC before a competent Court of Law, if there is a case against him.
