Although customers patronised banks in Ado-Ekiti like other days, many of them expressed their unhappiness about recent rise in bank charges for which the “no banking day” call was made by Civil Society Groups. In Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State Capital, banks buzzed with activities at automated teller machine points and customers trooping into the banking hall.
While some say they are not aware of the boycott of banks on Tuesday, March 1, some who are aware were claimed to have been urged by bank staffs to ignore the call.
