Former Senate President, David Mark, on Wednesday received heroic welcome as he was inaugurated for sixth time as a Senator. The Senate in an uncommon solidarity gave Mark a standing ovation when he was walked into the Senate chamber.
He was inaugurated at exactly 11:00am by Senate President Bukola Saraki after taking the traditional oath of office and oath of allegiance. Shortly after the inauguration, Senators in a show of solidarity took turns to hug and exchanged banters with Mark.
The inauguration of the former Senate President followed his victory at the February 20 Benue South Senatorial re-run election.
