A Federal High Court in Abuja is to allow prosecution witnesses lined up by the Federal Government to testify behind a witness screen ‎against the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu. The trial judge, Justice James Tsoho made the order following the prosecution submission that the witnesses are expressing fear of possible attack by the supporters of Kanu.

Defence Counsel however objected arguing that shielding of prosecution witnesses will not give his client a fair trial. But prosecution counsel is insisting that the use of screen would not prevent the judge, the accused persons and lawyers to the parties to see the witnesses while testifying.
