The Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, and Independent Petroleum Marketers, IPMAN, in Kwara state are at loggerheads as the marketers are calling for the redeployment of DPR’s Operations Controller, Phillips Salvation. Accused of being high handed and strict on selling the product above official price, salvation has described the allegation as mere blackmail over his refusal to allow sharp practices.
While fielding questions from journalists, State Chairman of Independent Petroleum Marketers, IPMAN, Olanrewaju Okanlawon laments difficulty in buying from federal government depots hence their patronage of private ones at higher price, urging the Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, to allow them determine the selling price.
