The Federal Government has reiterated its commitment to implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as well as Paris agreement on climate change. Minister of state for Aviation, Hadi Sirika made this known at the official presentation of the 2016 Seasonal Rainfall Prediction, in Abuja.
He says accurate and timely meteorological data is critical for combating climate change as well as achieving the Sustainable Development Goal in Nigeria. Welcoming participants, the Director-General, Nigerian Meteorological Agency, Anthony Anuforom gave an overview of what Nigerians should expect in view of this year’s climate prediction.
