Within a week, women the world over are been celebrated and the Senate is joining the International Community to celebrate this year’s international women’s day. Moving a motion to that effect, Senator Oluremi Tinubu from Lagos state urge the senate look seriously into the challenges women are going through in the country counting some of them to include the way the girl child is treated.
Senator Tinubu raising a point of order says since coming back from the Beijing conference twenty one years ago, not much has changed as far as women in the Nigeria are concerned. Taking it to a light mood, Leader of the Senate is urging all his male colleagues to help women’s plight by marrying more than one wife.
