The level of carelessness and impunity of motorists in Adamawa state have spurred the Federal Road Safety into renewed action in the State. The commission says it is relenting in its efforts to ensure that the roads are safe for both motorists and other road users. As its directives to desist from the use of mobile phones while driving and also desisting from the practice of driving without safety belts seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

The Federal Road Safety Corps, Adamawa state command is making known its intentions to double efforts to enforce safety practices by motorist in the state. Attesting that the Corp Marshall, Boboye Oyeyemi in a recent visit to the state expressed dismay at the level of carelessness observed with road users, the sector commander Adamawa state command Umar El-Faquq Bello notes that most road accidents are human error oriented.
