IPMAN REOPENS FUEL STATION SEALED BY DPR

The feud between Kwara State chapter of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, and the head of operations, Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, Phillips Salvation, has degenerated into a public power tussle. Shunning the call for his redeployment by IPMAN, the DPR boss had ordered that some fuel stations selling petroleum products above approved pump price be sealed, however, IPMAN shortly after the directive reopened the sealed stations.

Officials of the Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, led by its head of operations, Phillips Salvation, while carrying out an inspection round fuel stations in Ilorin, the state capital, noticed that at super moon, more than ten thousand litres of Premium Motor Spirit also known as Petrol, was kept in stock but not sold to angling residents. He then ordered the seal-off of the filling station for hoarding products.
