Corp Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Boboye Oyeyemi says excessive speeding coupled rear tyre burst caused the accident that claimed the lives of late Minister of State for Labour and Employment, James Ocholi, his wife and son. Oyeyemi made the disclosure while presenting a preliminary report on the cause of the fatal accident that killed the late junior minister.
Emotions are high at Federal Executive Chambers over the demise of late Ministers of State for Labour and employment alongside his wife and son. The Ministers have obviously been contending with the reality of missing a member of the team. Presenting a preliminary report of the cause of the fatal accident, Corp Marshal Oyeyemi highlight that over speeding, rear tyre burst made the vehicle of the late Minister to sustain extensive contact and induced damage.
He is therefore recommending training and retraining of convoy drivers, use of seat belts provision of road furniture among other safety materials to forestall re-occurrence of such avoidable loss of lives of Nigerians in road traffic accident.
