The ministry of Agriculture in Plateau state has been charged to go and generate funds from various departments under it. The charge comes at the 2016 budget defense proposal of the ministry at the State House of assembly. Our correspondent who monitored the meeting says the lawmakers are disappointed at the Ministry’s inefficiency at generating revenue.
According to the committee on agriculture, the ministry should be proactive enough in submitting business proposals to the house for approval. The Lawmakers are asking the Commissioner, Linda Barau to go in search of business ideas on how to prosper the agricultural sector in the state.
