The legacy of excellence in sports by the Nigerian Police Force will be top of the agenda as the force prepare for the take off of its 13th biennial games to hold in Abuja. Chairman central organising committee for the games, assistant Inspector General of Police, James Caulrick, says 3200 police athletes from all over the federation and its formations will participate.
The Nation’s sporting history will be incomplete without the mention of police personnel who at one time or the other have done the nation proud. From the first Olympic gold medallist Chioma Ajunwa to former heavyweight champion, James Peter and the late quarter miler, Supol Sunday Bada, the police has always been a source of World class athletes. This legacy is what the force seek to maintain.
