Medical Students affected by the raise in cut-off marks by University of Lagos authority have called on the Federal Government to intervene in the sudden decision reached by the institution. Education Rights Campaign, a Non-governmental organisation, the students as well as their parents while addressing newsmen in Lagos on Tuesday urges the school to reconsider its stance, arguing that the move will only jeopardize the students’ dream of becoming medical doctors.
Some Medical students at the University of Lagos on February 10 this year protest the institution’s decision to increase the mandatory cut-off marks for proceeding to Year 2. By implication, many students would either have to change their courses of study or quit UNILAG out-rightly.
