POLICE STEPS UP EFFORTS TO RE – ESTABLISH CIVIL AUTHORITY IN THE NORTH EAST

The Police say it is stepping up efforts aimed at re – establishing civil authority in the liberated areas of the North East.
Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, says logistics are already being put in place to actualise this objective.

Speaking at the stakeholders meeting on security in the North East in partnership with the British Embassy, the IGP says the Police are working with the military and other sister agencies to establish civil authority in North East. He says the meeting is one of efforts aimed at achieving the objective.
