Members of the Nigerian Insurance Commission branch of the NLC have been protesting the non adherence to Government circulars on financial regulations relating to their commission. Leaders of the union say the commission says the clear objective of the circular on eight years tenure for permanent secretary and directors is to give room to effectively plan and create vacancies within the system.
Part of their Complaints include the fact that management of commission is breaching the circular by recruiting three directors to fill vacancies within the system from outside the commission a development they are saying is destroying staff moral.
