Last Saturday’s re-run elections were once again bloody as opposition member engaged each other killing and injuring many. Whatever may have caused terrible situation may not be far fetch. The electoral process is flawed according those whose duty it is to ratify it and Senator Ovie Omo Agege has been calling for a complete shift into full electronic process.
River state is now a state where no one wants to touch with a long spoon during elections. Last Saturday’s re run election testifies to that. Death and injuries marring most of the process, now some members of the senate are saying that time is ripe for a complete overhaul of the electoral act through an amendment to incorporate the full use of e-voting system.
