FUEL SCARCITY: GOVT SUES FOR UNDERSTANDING

The Federal Government is suing for the understanding of Nigerians over the lingering queues at filling stations across the country. Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachukwu says it will take government some months to proffer lasting solution to the fuel scarcity. He stated this after leading the leadership of NUPENG and PENGASAN to closed meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

For months now, Nigerians have been grappling with fuel scarcity without a concrete solution from government. The meeting between Federal Government and the two main Labour Unions in the oil and gas industry according to the Minister of State for Petroleum resources is to collaborate on how to tackle challenges in be delving the nation’s oil sector. Briefing journalists after their closed door session with President Buhari, the minister says it will take like two months for government to find a permanent solution to ongoing fuel scarcity.
