The continuing Agatu and Fulani clashes in Benue State can be stopped if the Federal Government can expedite action on the setting up of the cattle value chain program. The Idoma initiative and the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria says this and other measures will help in the restoration of peace to agatu communities of Benue state.

With the almost daily clashes between Fulani herdsmen and youths of the Agatu community in Benue state and the attendant loss of lives, the Idoma Initiative And The Miyetti Allah cattle breeders association of Nigeria came together to bring peace between both communities. The effort led to a town hall meeting with the communique on the meeting calling on the federal government to do more to ensure the implementation of the value added chain program for livestock farmers.
