Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka has described late Politician Tunji Braithwaite as a counterstatesman and not just an Elder Statesman in Nigeria. This he said while paying tribute to the founder of the defunct Nigerian Advance Party, NAP. Soyinka states that his death is a very big loss to Nigeria because he was one of those who fought for an independent Nigeria and a restructured nation along progressive lines.
Nigeria has once again lost another patriot who was probably not honored during his lifetime. At his residence in Lagos, tributes from various dignitaries and activists trail Tunji Braithwaite’s passing.
