PLATEAU GOVT SETS UP REFORM COMMITTEE

The Plateau State Government is setting up a Committee to help reform the States Judiciary System. Deputy Governor of the State, Sonni Tyoden representing the Governor at the inauguration of the Committee says its primary assignment is to speed up the delivery of justice in the state adding that it is time the prisons are decongested of suspects awaiting trials.

Members of the reform Committee include , the state Chief Judge, Justice Pius Damulak, The Grand Khadi of the Sharia Court, Justice Sambo Adamu; the commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Barrister Jonathan Mawiyua; prison officials amongst others.
