Rumours of the Presidents refusal to sign the appropriation bill has been making the rounds and reasons are been adduced for that. Chairman of the Appropriation Committee of the House of Representative Abdulmumin Jibrin has been clearing the air on this issue that is threatening to pitch the legislature against the executive once more.
There has been insinuations that the President is refusing to sign the appropriation bill passed by both houses last week because the budget was passed without details. Chairman House Committee on Appropriation Abdulmumin Jibrin took the opportunity to explain to the press that the national assembly did a thorough job on the budget despite its late submission by the executive.
Asserting though that there is nothing wrong with the President asking for details of the breakdown.
