15 junior officers of the Taraba Police Command have received special promotion from the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase. The officers were elevated to the next ranks for what has been described as outstanding performances on their parts. Uduak Godwin reports that promoted personnel were decorated with their new ranks by the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Shaba Alkali, in a brief ceremony held at the headquarters of the command in Jalingo.
In a bid to encourage the officer and men of the Force to discharge their duties with all conscientiousness, the Inspector General of Police Solomon Arase has been approving the promotion of some officers. They are been promoted on the instructions of the I.G following a visit to the command in March.
