The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to support local manufacturers, as a way of boosting the nation’s economy. Minister of science and technology, Ogbonnaya Onu stated this when the management of Innoson Vehicle manufacturing company paid him a visit in his office. As part of efforts to reduce importation of vehicles into the country and to create jobs for Nigerians, government officials are prepared to buy made in Nigeria cars.
Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu believes that Nigeria can only be great if the citizens patronize goods locally produced in the country. The minister therefore reiterated his determination to direct all the agencies under his ministry to patronize made in Nigeria cars.
