President Muhammadu Buhari has been receiving the details of 2016 appropriation bill. Special assistant to the President on National Assembly, Senator Ita Inang who brought the budget says the transmission now paves the way for constitutional process of signing the bill into law.
Since it was presented on December 22nd, 2015, the Appropriation Bill has been a subject of controversy.
From alleged missing to padding, the budget was eventually passed by the National Assembly some days ago. But President Buhari as insist on seeing the details of the budget before signing it into Law. The transmission of the fiscal document to the office of the president according to the special assistant to the President on National Assembly will pave the way for the constitutional process of signing the budget into law.
