POWER SECTOR REFORMS: FASHOLA, NGIGE CHARGE WORKERS ON PERFORMANCE

Synergy between all stakeholders is vital for the development of the Power Sector and the provision of adequate and affordable electricity to all Nigerians. The Federal Government says this is essential while also calling for the workers in the Sector and at all levels to negotiate agreements based on the realities on ground.
Power, Works and Housing Minister, Babatunde Fashola in his keynote address to the triennial conference of the senior staff of electricity and associated companies say this will help in bringing industrial harmony and sustainable development to the sector.

With this song talking about the importance of unity of purpose in the sector, the third triennial conference of the senior staff association of electricity and allied companies kicked off. In his keynote address to the gathering tagged fostering harmony between employers and employees, Power, Works and Housing Minister says it is his and the members of the union’s job to provide electricity to the people of Nigeria urging them to do more.
He says the issue of industrial relations needs a serious rethink to ensure that both the employers and employees work towards the same goal of provision of electricity to the people.
