FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO FORESTALL IMPEDING DOCTORS STRIKE

The Federal Government is promising to look into grievances by Resident Doctors that may bring about a nationwide strike. Resident doctors has during the week issued a 21 days ultimatum for government to look into their plight or commence a full blown strike action. The Minister for Health Isaac Adewole is however assuring the resident doctors of Governments determination to reach an amicable resolution as it prepares to meet with the officials of the Nigeria Medial association to resolve the crisis in the health sector.

The Minister says that the Government will look into the demand of the Resident Doctors as soon as possible to stop the impending strike by the doctors. He says government will not relent in its efforts at making universal health coverage available to all Nigerian.
