The Director Naval Information, Commodore Chris Ezekoba made this known while on a courtesy visit to CORE TV NEWS office in Abuja. The Director says the visit is in line with the Chief of the naval staff’s plans the join hand with the media in the fight against insurgency.

The Director of Naval information says the boats are placed in strategic areas of the rivers and creeks in the Niger Delta in order to ensure that pipeline vandals, crude oil thieves and illegal bunkerers find it difficult to operate. The need to partner with the media is also paramount as the Navy believe that information dissemination is a key factor in helping to bring insurgency and other security threats to an end.
