The Area Council Election in the Federal Capital Territory was peaceful in Bwari, Abuja municipal area council. With over one million registered voters residents of the federal capital territory came out to participate in the area council elections. The poll is to Election Chairman and Councillors into the six council area of the FCT. Bwari Area Council Unit 8, New Maitama in Kubwa was filled with Voters waiting to exercise their franchise.
Accreditation and voting was done simultaneously, a sharp difference from what was initially practise. The exercise according to electorate is peaceful. They also commend the performance of electoral umpire.
