Residents of Plateau have been pleading with the Jos University Teaching Hospital staff to call off their ongoing strike in the interest of the general public. Some of those who bare their mind on the situation lament the suffering that residents have to go through due to the strike action embarked upon by the health workers.
According to the Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly, the health workers strike action is claiming lives daily because JUTH is the most advanced medical facility in the state with about four million people coming for medical attention.
