ASUU CALLS FOR PETROLEUM MINISTER’S RESIGNATION

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has been calling on government appreciate the hardship Nigerians are going through as a result of the incessant fuel crisis in the country. The Union is also in strong terms resisting any plans by government to increase prices of petroleum products. These and many other issues forms the crux of discussion while briefing newsmen in Abuja. Bukola Afeni reports that the union has also been calling for the resignation of the Minister for Petroleum should the fuel crisis persist.

President of ASUU, disclose that the current fuel crisis is having adverse consequences on the socio economic life of the Nation. He says the situation on ground is bringing about increases in so many things especially food items, transportation, electricity as well as cost of living of living generally.
