SPEAKER TO ENGAGE EXECUTIVE ON AREAS OF CONCERNS

The House of Representatives is insisting it has nothing to say about the controversy that is trailing the 2016 Budget. It says it has been properly briefed by the Chairman of Appropriation Committee it its Executive Session and has mandated the Speaker to engage the executive to identify areas of control concerns as reported by our National Assembly Correspondent Emmanuel Ehijene.

Speaker of the House of Representative Yakubu Dogara was forced to suspend all other issues for discussion on the floor of the House calling for an Executive Session. Briefing the press after the session Chairman House of Representatives media and public affairs explained that the thrust of the meeting is on the budget and that the Chairman, Appropriation Committee used the occasion to brief the House. The resolution of the house is that the Speaker is been mandated to engage the Executive to identify areas of concerns with a need to addressing them in the interest of the country.
