Better times are here for Telecom service consumers in the country as the Consumer Protection Council and the Nigerian Communication Commission are set to partner for better service in the Nation’s Telecom sector. Director General of the Consumer Protection Council, Dupe Atoki and her counterpart in the Nigerian Communication Commission, Umar Danbatta, say they are committed to better quality service from the service provider.
The mandate of the Consumer Protection Council according to the Director General is to ensure the provision of good quality service to consumers in the country. She says the Council in furtherance of this objective is doing a sectoral investigation to ensure that it has the necessary impact. This according to her necessitated the visit to the NCC to aid the Council’s investigation of the Telecom sector.
