The Senate is urging the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency rebuild and rehabilitate the Chibok girls secondary school as a symbol of National Unity. This is contained in the amended prayers of the motion on remembering the abducted Chibok girls who are spending their second year in captivity. The motion co sponsored by Dino Melaye and three other Senators notes that the girls have been in captivity.
For any parent, having a child away for two years with know his or her whereabout can be emotionally traumatic. For that long a time more than two hundred young girls are been held in captivity and for that long Nigerians have cried, begged, appealed to their captures to release them and for government to bring them back. The Senate says it is worried about their plight.
